We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We do not meet the conditions as outlined in Section 1798.140 of the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (the “CCPA”) and therefore are not subject to CCPA requirements. You may only submit a consumer rights request twice within a 12-month period. If you submit a consumer rights request more than twice within any 12-month period, we reserve the right to assess appropriate charges to cover the administrative costs of complying with such requests.
Your request to exercise your right to access, correct, delete, or opt out must:
- Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative thereof.
- Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. We will only use personal information provided in the request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make it.
Response Timing and Format
We will confirm receipt of your request within ten (10) business days. If you do not receive confirmation within the 10-day timeframe, please contact customerservice@sureguardpro.com.
We endeavor to substantively respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to another 45 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
We will deliver our written response to either your customer account, if applicable, or by mail or electronically, at your option. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.
The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. If we refuse to take action with respect to a specific request, you may appeal the decision by contacting us through any of the methods described above and stating your grounds for reconsideration.
