Name the North Texas weed before you pick a Saturday
Dallisgrass in Arlington Bermuda is not a winter annual. Doveweed in a Plano wet corner is not crabgrass. Spraying both on a generic date wastes the visit and can mark the turf you wanted to keep. SureGuard wants the plant named on North Texas lots before we set the window.

Photos that actually help
Close leaf, wide pattern, wet versus dry, sun versus shade. Note the last pre-emergent if you remember one. If you already treated and it came back in the same strip, that is the file. Try not to mow off seed heads the morning we arrive.
Bermuda going off-color around a weed patch can be competition, coverage, or both. Do not assume the weed caused the fade until we look at throw and traffic.
Timing is plant plus heat
Post-emergent on drought-stressed weeds in 100 degree weather often fails. We would rather wait for a recovery day. Pre-emergent is a soil-temperature window, not a holiday. Seeding or rye overseeding conflicts with some products. Say whether you want winter color, summer density, or just a clean look for a party.
Irrigation leaks grow certain weeds in the same corner every year. Fixing the leak is part of weed control even if it is a different trade. Fire ant mounds in the same corner are a pest note, not a reason to change the weed date by default.
Control versus rebuild
Dead dallisgrass leaves a hole. Holes grow the next flush. The ticket should say whether we are cleaning plants, repairing turf, or both, and who keeps kids off the area. Send city, photos, and prior products. Arlington sun and a shaded Plano side yard will not share a spray day just because both owners said weeds.
Nutsedge in a chronically wet corner is often an irrigation leak wearing a weed costume. We will say if the plant is the lead or the water is the lead. Treating sedge every month while a head floods the same rectangle is a subscription, not a solution. Bermuda density still matters. Thin turf on DFW clay is the reason the next weed wins.
Kids sports, dog yards, and HOA sidewalk edges need their own note. A product that is right for a sunny front lawn can be wrong along a shaded side gate. Tell us which rectangle you actually care about this month. Richardson and Grand Prairie share a metro. They do not share your wet corner.
Bring the date of the last pre-emergent if a lawn vendor left a ticket. We would rather delay a post-emergent than stack chemistry that fights itself. North Texas summers are long. One honest window beats three rushed Saturdays.
