What You'll Get With Our Gold & Platinum Lawn Fertilization Programs
At Sureguard Lawn & Pest, we offer two different lawn care programs to choose from depending on your specific preferences: Gold and Platinum. Both of these programs are designed to keep your lawn supplied with the nutrients that it needs to grow strong and healthy throughout the growing season. However, they also include weed control and other essential treatments based on which you go with. Our 6-step Gold treatment schedule looks like this:
- Late Winter: Your first visit occurs in January/February, during which a sulfur soil amendment will be applied to improve the quality of your soil.
- Spring: In March/April, your grass will receive its first fertilizer treatment of the year to provide the nutrients it needs for early growth, along with pre-emergent weed control to prevent weeds from surfacing.
- Summer: Another fertilizer treatment in May/June will be applied to keep your turf healthy as it transitions into the hottest time of the year. Any existing weeds will also be spot-treated with post-emergent weed control.
- Late Summer: This visit in July/August includes fertilization to continue supporting your lawn's health during this stressful season, plus post-emergent weed control to address weed issues.
- Fall: Your grass will be fertilized again in September/October to help it recover from summer stress and prepare it for winter. You can also expect a pre-emergent application to get ahead of weeds before they surface.
- Early Winter: Our final visit in November/December involves a pre-emergent weed control treatment to continue protecting your lawn from invasive weeds.
If you opt for our Platinum program, you'll receive everything from Gold, like fertilization, weed control, and sulfur soil amendment treatments, plus more! This is a 12-step program, meaning we visit your property every month of the year. Additional treatments you can expect include:
- Pre-emergent weed control in January
- A fire ant control treatment in April
- Preventative grub and chinch bug control in June
- Root growth stimulant in August
- Preventative lawn disease control in October
- A potassium-rich fertilizer in December
